Ghana is 8 keer zo groot als Nederland. Het lijkt me geweldig om het hele land eens te bereizen. Mijn familie woont tussen Accra en Kumasi. Ons nieuwe schoolproject en Homeland Oyoko liggen tegen Koforidua aan. Ik ben wel hoger in Ghana geweest, tot aan Bolgatanga toe. Het is prachtig om het landschap te zien veranderen. Deze reis blijf ik in het zuiden, tussen Accra en Kumasi. Het is de bedoeling om op verschillende locaties schoolkinderen van het Quashie School Project te bezoeken en onze nieuwe projecten vorm te gaan geven. Maar het wordt ook een beetje vakantie en een heerlijk weerzien met mijn lieve broers en zussen en hun ruim 30 kinderen! Je snapt waarschijnlijk wel waarom ik al bezig ben met de voorbereidingen. Heel veel schoolspulletjes en cadeautjes moeten mee in de koffers. En hopelijk passen er ook nog wat kleren bij. Het is een gepuzzel, iedere keer weer.

Ghana is 8 times the size of the Netherlands. I think it would be great to travel around the country. My family lives between Accra and Kumasi. Our new school project and Homeland Oyoko are close to Koforidua. I have been travelling in the Northern region of Ghana, up to Bolgatanga. It is beautiful to see the landscape changing. This trip I will stay in the south, between Accra and Kumasi. The intention is to visit schoolchildren of the Quashie School Project at different locations and to give shape to our new projects. But it will also be a little holiday and a wonderful reunion with my dear brothers and sisters and their 30+ children! You probably understand why I am already busy with the preparations. I have to stuff my suitcases with a lot of school supplies and gifts. And hopefully some clothes will fit as well. It’s a puzzle, every time.
